Springtime Birthday Soiree

Birthdays should always be celebrated...
and this one was especially important as it was Mom's 60th!

Hope you enjoy the photos as
much as I enjoyed creating it for her!

The whole party was done in shades of pink, coral, orange and yellow -
it reminds me of sherbet and springtime.

I just love these flower combinations...aren't they pretty?

Guests could choose from pink and yellow lemonade
or sweet tea in a mason jar

These cone doilies were so cute and when I made them, I had no idea what I was
going to use them for - they ended up being the perfect way to serve tortilla chips

30th Birthday Beer Bash

 Choosing a "theme" for a guy's 30th Birthday can
be a bit challenging but this Beer Bash fit the bill perfectly!
It's a great way to celebrate something most every guy loves.

And here's the beer

The Birthday Guy is a big fan of Miller
so it had to be incorporated into the decor

For those who wanted to keep it classy...
It's not a party without Champagne...and in this case it
was personalized with a birthday message.
Beer Caps made for an easy decorating tool... pictured
is a "30" cut from styrofoam and covered with foil and beer caps

Simply Rustic Wedding Reception

This wedding reception was an intimate celebration with close family and friends and was held in the backyard of the bride and groom's home - it was a perfect combination of simplicity and rustic elegance.

Preparations for the evening reception included hanging mismatched framed
photos of the bride and groom as children and family wedding photos

Stepping stones display the wedding date and make
a nice keepsake for the bride and groom

A mix of vintage candelabras, silver and glass added to the overall
character of this lovely wedding reception

Pink Roses add a pop of color to the outdoor setting

A Pretty in Pink... and Blue and Green Baby Shower

My friend Kristy (who's wedding can be seen here) welcomed a baby girl last month.  Her shower was so much fun to put together... there was lots of pink but some blue, green and yellow too! The shower was held on a Sunday afternoon so instead of traditional appetizers, her shower featured lots and lots of sweets... what better way to welcome a "sweet" new baby to the world!

Sweets Table! I love the pendents made with twine and pieces of fabric

Pink Food! Pink Chocolate Drizzled Popcorn, Cookie Cups with Pink Icing,
Dipped Pretzels and Strawberry Cupcakes

"Cupcake" Tree made with onesies and displayed in cupcake liners, flowers in tin cans

spray painted with chalkboard paint and painted the same shade of blue

Another DIY Chalkboard... love this quote for baby!

"Kaitlyn" banner greeted guests as they arrived and now hangs in her nursery

Candy Bar - who wouldn't love all these treats?

with hints of pink throughout

Coozies for the GuestsIn

Instead of traditional cake, the bride opted

Luau Bridal Shower

My friend Kristy's bridal shower luau was a casual get together with lots of fun, bright accents.  The color scheme of pink, green, orange and blue made for a festive get-together!

The invite set the tone for casual fun

Kristy LOVES little pigs so this guy had to be included- he wasn't roasted though!

I love white lights! They make any space festive.
These were draped around the exterior of the pool
and tea lights lined the spa area.
